Prize Criteria
The judges will base their selection according to these criteria:
- A commitment to teaching Shakespeare
- The judges recognize that teachers most likely teach much more than only Shakespeare
- Proven creativity in methods that have engaged students
- Effective use of student acting
- Utilization of outside resources, such as video and multi-media
- A clear idea of why Shakespeare is an important part of high school education
- The prize is awarded solely in recognition of past achievement and carries no requirement regarding the use of funds.
