Each year's annual Award Celebration is held in an attractive
location - generally in Palm Beach County, Florida.
In 2026, the celebration was the weekend of January 17-18 .

  • Hotel, transportation, and meals for the winners – and 1 guest each – is paid for by the Parr Prize
  • Award reception and dinner, on the Saturday night, at a historic location
  • Actual Shakespeare Folios of 1632, 1664, and 1685 are onsite for study and discussion
  • A salon discussion, about Shakespeare and excellent teaching practices, takes place on either Saturday or Sunday morning
  • Teachers are presented with Parr Prize $10,000 and a plaque in their honor at the awards ceremony
