Sarah Stewart
Sarah Stewart is an English and Speech and Debate teacher at Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in English Literature. She graduated from King’s College London with a Master of Arts in Early Modern English Literature, Text and Transmission. She also attended Florida State University for four years where she pursued PhD coursework in English Literature.
She began her teaching career as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno where she taught English 101 (Composition I), English 102 (Composition II), and Core Humanities 201 (Ancient and Medieval Cultures). She continued her teaching career as a graduate teaching assistant at Florida State University where she taught English 1101(Composition I), English 1102 (Composition II), Literature 2020 (Introduction to the Short Story), English 3803 (History of Text Technologies), and English 3334 (Introduction to Shakespeare). In 2016, she transitioned to teaching on the high school level at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, FL. She then taught at Fluvanna County High School in Palmyra, VA. During her time at Arbor View High School, she has taught all grade levels of English, Public Speaking, Speech and Debate, as well as Concurrent Enrollment English 101 and 102 through the University of Nevada, Reno.
In addition to her teaching, she served as the associate editor on The Shakespeare First Folios: A Descriptive Catalogue for Macmillan and William Shakespeare & Others: Collaborative Plays for Palgrave Macmillan and the Royal Shakespeare Company. She served as a research assistant and is credited in Dr. Sonia Massai’s edition of John Ford’s ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore for the Arden Early Modern Drama series and Dr. Massai’s and Dr. Thomas Berger’s volume Paratexts in English Printed Drama to 1642 for Cambridge University Press. She served as a research assistant and is credited in Dr. Ann Keniston’s and Dr. Jeffery Gray’s volume The New American Poetry of Engagement: A 21st Century Anthology for McFarland and Company.
